One week of being on the estrogen blocker Femara, tumor markers went down from 89 to 65. After months of bouncing back and forth from the 80's to the 100's they really lowered. It is kind of amazing! I discovered by taking the Femara at night the sucky side affects happen mostly while I am sleeping. This is something that I can handle because I just take a sleeping pill and sleep through it all. The first few days of the Femara were so awful with the fluish symptoms. Those in addition to my usual bone pains and fatigue were soooo not fun. I feel much better now. Just in time for chemo!!! Fun times.
