My beautiful, crazy busy life.

Hello friends,

Is your life so busy you could use a nap? I'm definitely on the crazy train of life right now. We are On the tail end of our move, with a garage filled with boxes yet to be emptied. We have everything we need to survive, so I am wondering, what the heck is in those boxes, and if we should just donate it all and down size. LOL, the minute you get rid of something you wish you still had it. So, I guess some box emptying is in my future. We have my mom visiting here from Colorado this week. She can't get over all the different types of green trees and all the variety of flowers that are in bloom. We have been hiking at the UT arboretum a few of the days since she has been here. They have everything from trees, to plants and flowers labeled on all the trails. We have done two of the 40 different trails in the past 3 days. Yesterday was too cold for a hike, so we walked the one and only true mall, (West town mall ) in Knoxville. Despite the fact that my hand and foot syndrome has my hands and feet beet red and cracked and peeling, I am determined to keep putting one foot in front of the other and living life. These hikes have been a big FU to cancer for me. It feels pretty good to give cancer the finger every now and then!

Say it with me now. F. U. Cancer!!!

Here are the photos I have taken at the arboretum:

In addition to the hiking and normal household stuff, we have also assembled some furniture for our sun room. A few weeks ago we bought a set at big lots ( first time ever purchasing from there and possibly the last) and our couch came with two left arms. So we called the company and ordered a right arm, and when it arrived we finally put together the couch. Only to find the right arm they sent had some broken rattan pieces, and the bottom support for the seat cushions didn't line up with the screw holes. HAHA, after two weeks of waiting for the arm, we still had to call and get properly fitting and unbroken pieces. Guess what... it'll be two weeks to get those parts. Mo assembled the couch anyway, and I guess it is sit worthy as long as we don't jump up and down on it to make the bottom fall out!

Here is what the sun room furniture looks like:

Doesn't Mo look awesome, hard at work assembling the furniture? In several of the photos, you will see my mom helping. You will also see her in the arboretum photos in front of the gazebo and on the trail. This past week has been busy, and full. Good times. The weekend ahead looks just as busy and full. We've planned a trip for a short hike at the IJAMS nature center, and will follow that with a meal downtown Knoxville. It is pet friendly at both places. I guess that means we will be surrounded by our hounds on our adventure. I'll let you know how that works out for us.

Thank you very very much for stopping by to read my little blog. Feel free to leave a comment or send an email.
